It wasn't quite as bad as the weathermen made it out to be, but the ground is covered and the water temperatures have dropped substantially.
The good news is that when the water temperatures start to rise again, another batch of walleyes will likely head up river. The white bass will be right behind them. Hopefully the water level and current flow will both drop a little in the meantime.
I added a link to the rock river monitoring gauge. It has up to date information on river levels, current and water temperature.
Hang in there, fishing is right around the corner.

Ouch....
We're slated to get up to 12 inches of snow in the next 24-36 hours. That might turn off the fishing for a few days.
